We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to work for a company that specialise in the design, test and manufacture of shipping systems, used in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries globally. These packaging and shipping systems protect vaccines, drugs, blood and associated medical products from extremes of temperature during transportation. This is a highly succesful company with goal of becoming the leading global supply partner in the provision of temperature controlled packaging!

To be responsible for all sales activities, to manage a strong Key Account base and to be responsible for New Business development in a given geographical area. To develop and implement agreed Business Plan that will meet business objectives for growth and revenue generation.

The successful candidate will manage a strong key account base in a geographical area. You will be expected to locate, identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and within new prospects. You will manage, understand and interpret customer requirements and offer products to meet their needs and develop and grow long term relationships with customers. You will need to understand and master the product offering and cold chain issues and have regular interface with the Technical team. You will also be expected to visit customers on a regular basis, overseas travel is therefore required. You will attend industry conferences and events as and when needed. the chosen candidate will ideally have extra language skills either French, Dutch or Scandinavian and have experience of long sales cycles and dealing with Blue Chip customers.
